Re: Cotyledon in flower
I found the following text on the internet. There's also a photograph of a plant at the US Botanic garden that looks exactly as mine and is labelled as C. tomentosa ssp. ladismithensis . I am now confused! Hopefully Derek will reveal all. Cotyledon tomentosa is a perennial evergreen shrub, which is ...

Re: Cotyledon in flower
Mat, thank you for your comments. I will be interested to read any comments from our national Judge Stuart. I got the plant from him in 2018 described/advertised as Cotyledon ladismithiensis reverse variegated. In the interim the name as I have it will remain.

Cotyledon in flower
Today I found this in flower. Its been very dark ,dismal and extremely wet here in North East England but this plant and the Othonna's are ignoring the conditions. (inside and outside the greenhouse!)

Re: Cactus Shop
Roy Mottrams place is still on the market for £550,000 reduced from £600,000. 1.6 acres. There's a agricultural caveat attached to it placed by the local authority many years ago. Roy spent years trying to get it removed. I guess the caveat will make it harder to sell. The price is for the house and...

Re: Cactus Shop
Very bad news, if it closes down completely its another significant seller gone. Heating costs are going to be high for years to come and even some collectors with modest sized collections may have to seriously think about the costs particularly after retirement with reduced incomes. The days of che...

Dobbies latest stapelia plant?
My local branch of Dobbies has just taken delivery of a batch of this plant. Each labelled Kolibri Stapelia. £6.99p
Does the name mean anything to anyone? To me its just a Stapelia but no idea of the species, maybe another hybrid. I look forward to comments before I write a label out.

Re: Indoor Succulent Garden
The bottom sculpture was made by my wife many years ago. Its the one that stays with the plant. The birds were me experimenting to see what looked good. My wife has a large collection of Country Artists bird sculptures.
