So that’s what species these are! They’ve always been the “classic” cactus for me as everyone who had a cactus had one at least. All when the same pink flowers, heaps of offsets etc. love them. Thanks for the memories

For the most part. Cylindropuntia and austrocylindropuntias are a no go entirely. Opuntia we are allowed one species and that’s Opuntia ficus-indica. I’m thinking this may be a Cylindropuntia species but unsure which. I never saw the mother plant. Planning to grow it for a bit to see what species it...

I’ve no experience of that species, but when i lived in Cornwall (one of the sunny bits of the UK) large diameter sections of Trichocerei were pretty easy to root, as long as they were dry. Haven't you heard of Euphorbia cactus ? And then there is Neobuxbaumia euphorbioides. I’ll try and get a picture of my largest when I get home from work tommorow.
