Re: Echinopsis something

Gorgeous! These flowers remind me why I love cacti over other plants.

Re: Common or garden - but very welcome

So that’s what species these are! They’ve always been the “classic” cactus for me as everyone who had a cactus had one at least. All when the same pink flowers, heaps of offsets etc. love them. Thanks for the memories :)

Re: Unsure on this one..

I’m thinking this may be a Cylindropuntia species but unsure which. I never saw the mother plant. Planning to grow it for a bit to see what species it...

Re: Neoraimondea herzogiana from cuttings?

I’ve no experience of that species, but when i lived in Cornwall (one of the sunny bits of the UK) large diameter sections of Trichocerei were pretty easy to root, as long as they were dry. Now i have moved up to the frozen North, with the concomitant decrease in light intensity, life is not so str...

Re: Post your largest cactus!

Love the P. Pringlei! Can’t wait for mine to get that size - they’re only about an inch tall at the moment. How old is your plant?

Come on, Paul!

Re: Post your largest cactus!

Haven't you heard of Euphorbia cactus ? And then there is Neobuxbaumia euphorbioides. I’ll try and get a picture of my largest when I get home from work tommorow. It’s Pachycereus marginatus (although this may be a stenocereus now?). It was a large cutting and I had it in a broken bucket with a few...
