Re: Cleistocactus paraguariensis running amok

Hi Paul, Colin Walker posted a photo of this in his Cleisto Quiz last year. Here is the post and the picture. I guess his plant has grown a bit since then. http://www.bcss.org.uk/forum/read.php?1,139319,page=1 http://www.bcss.org.uk/forum/file.php?1,file=20834 Plant H - C. baumannii ssp. santacruzen...

Re: Which Crassula Ovata Should I Give as a Present?

Hi Carl, Welcome to the forum, and my favourite C. ovata is cv. 'Hummel's Sunset'. Mine are quite red at the moment having been in the greenhouse in the winter light, but by summer they go orange-yellow, as below. In a sunny windowsill, it will retain some colour (other than green). [attachment 2246...

Re: Chempak

Peter, The management buy-out of 26th Nov didn't quite work out, but the good news is that Thompson & Morgan have bought the bits that matter and will be relaunching "Chempak" fertilisers soon. Here is an excerpt from a press release last month: John Richardson, managing director of Chempak's parent...

Re: Haworthia society seed

And I thought of you as an "Opuntia Man", Stuart!! Well I started out with just mammillaria (several hundred sensible round plants) and that somehow developed into several hundred opuntias alongside several hundred gasterias, and many other things besides. Strange how our habits change!
