Re: The price of some seeds...

Jambouree are $90 for 10 seeds on Mesa Garden (and they're out of stock!) So £50 for 10 including postage isn't half bad!

Re: The lull before the storm

The snow has just finished and it's now melting rapidly. But looks good while it sticks around!

The price of some seeds...

I was browsing through some threads on Lithops and came across some describing 'Fred's Redhorn'. They look great, I wonder if seed is available? A quick Google and a listing comes up on eBay for 10 seeds. Great I think and then I click on the link... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-seeds-Lithops-lesli...

Re: The lull before the storm

I replaced many broken roof panels with 4mm twin skin polycarbonate in the autumn and I keep looking outside, slightly paranoid that whole section will fly out as it is more flexible! I hope your greenhouse survives without further damage

Re: Echinopsis seedling growth

Thanks for the comparison Cidermanrolls! Will be interesting to see how mine compare in a year to your's and Ralph's and whether accelerated growth is possible or this effort is in vain! Here is today's update. These are now 8 weeks from sowing. IMG_20200209_085107.jpg IMG_20200209_085111.jpg IMG_20...

Re: Aloe polyphylla germination

I have three seedlings now in pots. They seem to be doing well. IMG_20200208_185243.jpg All three of these were moved when they had tiny shoots - it seems perhaps I'm a bit too ham-fisted with seeds with larger growths and damage them when transferring. I haven't had any more germinate in the water ...

Re: When to prick out succulent seedlings

Don't try to move the Lithops yet. You might even get more germination still. They will grow quite slowly from this stage on. When there is no longer any soil visible between them, that will slow them down, but that's a couple of years away. What about the tap roots though Iann? I was planning to p...
