Re: Thelocephala

North to E. krausii grows T. esmeraldana which is also quite variable in its forms. See the other thread about esmeraldana http://www.cactus-society.org/foruma/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=161777&p=227721&hilit=Eriosyce+esmeraldana&sid=c219974c3e0b77db463936f2501d5087#p227721 It often has por...

Re: Thelocephala

So true Dave.
I heard about Steven Brack puttting similar plants of the same genus as far apart as he can to prevent insects from pollinating them from the flower next to it. It must be an awful mess in his collection of mother plants then

Re: Thelocephala

Hello Ian, flower picture would be nice, might have some some taltalensis genes from the look of the plant and spines. Re: Thelocephala

@ DaveW: thank you very much for the inquiry about E. krausii (Kattermann). Its too bad the Ritter books are in B/W, I ´ll have a look at the books by Ritter , Kattermann and Hoffman/Walter for comparison when I´m home again tomorrow. So the cream colored species might be inside the Katterman concep...
