Tickets are selling very quickly and will sell out well in advance for the Cactus World weekend. There's currently only about 80 left for the Saturday morning and most of the earlier weekends are already sold out. If you plan to go, buy tickets online now before they sell out.

By my calculations so far it is at:
Saturday -- 483 tickets sold / 1624 max attendence (29%)
Sunday -- 387 tickets sold / 1624 max attendence (23%)

Only FIVE slots available for Saturday (out of 348 originally available slots) for a PRE-11.30 arrival (99.9% sold out).

All morning tickets for both days now sold, tickets still available for time slots after midday but don't leave it much longer or the only tickets will be for late afternoon and won't allow very long to look round. The only way still to visit in the morning might be with a combined bus and garden ticket mentioned on the Bridgwater website.

I am keeping my eye on this too. Looks like they have upped the numbers for the afternoon slots. It was only 116 before for each slot, now it is 136.

That is an extra 20 people (potentially) per every 30 minutes. That works out - if they've done it for all day - to be another 280 people allowed in, which gets us to over 1900 people each day (was 1624).

I hope they don't put the numbers up again, as I am sure it will start getting uncomfortable for some.

Granted, however, that most people won't stop all day.

Done that, Stuart. I'm waiting for the RHS to respond showing me certificates of competence for the guys who erect the marquees and do the electrical works.
As the person who was in charge of H&S in my university dept, I know how to play this game, in spades...

I didn't bother to add the risk "other stall holders biffing me with a cactus when they are enranged by my prices".

So I can just put 'Same as Ralph's' on my risk assessment. Can't think how I've managed all these years without one!

Something's not quite right as the location of the marquee/tent is shown as next to the staff car park. It's about a five minute walk from the entrance, beyond the display gardens and beyond an area called The Old Frameyard. I've looked at two different online maps of the gardens, one has a red dotted line and one has a yellow dotted line marking the limit of public access. The area for the marquee is beyond the public assess line. I tried phoning the gardens but there wasn't anyone there last Friday that could explain it. They did apply for planning permission for a marquee about a month ago but I'm not sure if this would have had an instant decision or if it takes time. I'm just hoping both the online maps are out of date and the exterior fence has been moved nearer the staff car park. Has anyone been there?
