Re: Trichocereus pachanoi in flower tonight
I have a Trich P with two buds, how can I stimulate it to flower. The buds have not changed in ages.

Re: Trichocereus pachanoi in flower tonight
As in Tony's case, bedded into a bed in rich compost my T. bridgesii puts on a foot to eighteen inches of growth a year. Trouble is as I said in a previous post earlier it does not flower as well as if grown harder since stems cut off produce buds and flowers without having formed any roots, but the main very much larger plant does not flower as freely. Cacti in pots are really bonsai'd and bear little relationship to their growth in open ground, but few of us can afford our plants growing too quickly in greenhouses..
Look like having a lot of grafting stock soon as the Trichocereus only has about another year before it hits the roof.

Hi,Tony R. and All.
After a dull day with rain mid morning the previous nights flower last long enough to still be open when the rest of the flowers open this evening.
Making a total of 31.
Just can get them all in one frame.
