Looks like I will have to find another variegated plant as Jane and Tina have got plants that have "normal" growth but a quick search via google does find that I am not alone in having a plant that prefers to grow down

Doubt if this plant can be classed in this section, although it was accidentaly" bonsaid" when a curtain rail cut its top off as it fell from an insecure position. plant was only there for a few hours whilst repairs were being done to the glass in glass house. The height has remained constant ever since but the trunk has blossomed well. Cheers

Very good! Now prune it and don't forget to place the pot on the decorative occasional table that bonsai growers use!

My bonsaied Aeonium (haworthii, I think) has everything you could ask for - retarded and minaturised growth, exposed roots and aerial roots, gnarled branches.

Well Phil, I'm quite horrified at the neglect you've subjected this Aeonium too and I think you should be drummed out of the BCSS forthwith. I have huge presidential powers that clearly need to be enacted forthwith.

AND it's in a plastic pot too boot.
Cheers,
Colin

Looks like another of my plants that U have tried to bonsai...

Bit of a trunk and it is in a ceramic pot

Previous attempts at pruning have failed to get new branches to grow near the trunk and the remaining branches are now rather long with the leaf rosette at the end as a green blob

Maybe the President with his powers should form: Royal Society for Protection of Cacti and Succulents - RSPCS! We certainly need one!
