Nice one Christer, that is the form of E. paucicostata, Ritter described as Pyrrhocactus neohankeanus.

I got it as a two year old seedling in 2009- that would make it 7 or so.

Re: Eriosyce taltalensis FK 511
Afraid I still think of E. taltalensis as the original Hutchison pink/purple flowered plant from 3 miles north of Planta Esmeralda and 1 mile inland from the coast rather than all the white flowered forms that have been lumped in with it in later years.
Roger Ferryman E. taltalensis from Hutchison's type locality.
FK 511 comes from Esmeralda, Quebrada Guanillos, 150m. SuccSeed shows a picture of it in habitat:-

In the original sense it is Dave . But .... it has become whider these days.. and night become narrower some time too.
Pyrrhocactus neohankeanus is nearer to the taltalensis (Hutch.) side of the spectrum than it is to paucicostata.

I have a couple of different forms of nehankeana in my collection.
The first a plant from Brendan Burke:-
The second from Roger Ferryman seed:-

Apparently the plants known as neohankeana are variable and some may even be a natural hybrid swarm. Ritter at first named a few forms of neohankeanus including a variety flaviflorus.

Re: Eriosyce taltalensis FK 511
Great pictures , as always . Thanks Dave.
I have a taltalensis that grows similar to the one from the Brendan Burke collection. It is from seeds collected by Andreas Wessner at Queb. San Ramon: and another one that at least looks similar to the offspring of the RMF collection:
