Many thanks Chris L for taking the trouble to post so many photos and preserving memories of those wonderful plants. There are also many excellent photos on Alice Vander Bon's Reading Branch web site, link on p2.
I must share any credit for judging the Mesembs with her. We judged our section together contrary to instructions, but did finish three minutes late.
Where were the Matucanas? I thought the Agave classes were very good, although eborispina is starting to dominate the prizes. Not so many Sansevierias as I remember from last time? The last "Fancy Container" class was certainly a triumph with so many creative entries, but the prizes seemed to go to quality plants rather than artistic ideas.
