I STILL can't log into cactiguide. As soon as I pop in my username and password it doesnt allow me to move forward, it refreshes and Im back at the same page. Tried with another browser and the same thing happened?
Help...

A Wiki that can be edited by anyone and that cites it's source as a single 1913 dictionary, vs. every other modern dictionary in the world (including the more modern version of the dictionary cited) such as Oxford, Cambridge, Merriam-Webster, and all the rest.DaveW wrote:Regarding excentric see the link below.

Not according to Chambers. And I suppose that the common meaning of eccentric derives from the same concept of off centre, i.e. not mainstream .

Quite possibly, but either way it's pretty clear that the spelling excentric of eccentric is all but dead in modern usage.
