I do have other Albuca sp., so it is possible the seed is hybrid.

Thank you Giacomo! Same comment to you really! Although I saw mentiones that A. spiralis might be self fertile, and thw flowers wilted similar immediately after my pollination attempts, so "hope dies last" right?

Nothing as exciting as Diane's flowers, but just in case A. spiralis really isn't self-fertile (which would be quite a waste of ~10 flowers!), I just bought two small ones starting to flower.
Extra points for clarifying whether 'Frizzle Sizzle' is A. spiralis cultivar, or is it our favourite marketing bs?

Feels like I'm taking to myself, but it's supposed to have done therapeutic effects, so let's carry on!
Would that be developing seed pods on one of the flowers? If so, A. spiralis 'Frizzle Sizzle' (it's still not clear to me if that's a cultivar or marketing) might be weekly self-fertile, or my pollination attempts were "week".

I really hope they're viable!
A comment on my unsuccessful pollination attempts:
1. I tried self-fertilisation between flowers of the same plant, 1 out of about 10 flowers set seeds, but the seed pod shrivelled after maybe 2 weeks. It might be purely my fault, but I treated it exactly as the plants below:
2. After this rather disappointing experience I bought two new, smaller plants just beginning to flower and tried again. Out of 4 flowers one set seeds, and the photograph above is the result.
Given above, it's probably much better to have two plants if one wishes to attempt pollination.

If you have a search, someone showed that you can peel these and root the 'scales'.
One of mine sets seed & the other doesn't so it may be that clone.

If I only posted this, and you replied, and I read your reply yesterday when I still have the seed pods!
Did you cross-pollinate them, or tried self? From my experience (of just about 10 flowers) they are not so keen to self-pollinate, despite what t'Internet says!
