Thanks Eric. Yes I do use clay pots quite a bit, but I use plastic also, which is lighter for me and the staging! I am a bit more cautious with watering if the plant is in a plastic pot. Regarding the M. luethyi, I only bought it on Sunday at the Zone 12 convention, with several other plants, pictured below for interest. I always repot new purchases into my own pots and compost, but haven't had time to do these yet.Eric Williams wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:15 am Lovely plants and pics Juster. You have many plants in terra cotta pots, but not ieuthyii. Is there reason for this ? Cheers

Jean
Thanks ... yes I have discovered that ... this is my first "real" year of collection/growing. I am like a child. A small collection but it is producing treasure every few days. And buds suddenly protrude then burst into flowers ... my text auto complete suggested ... burst into ..... tears ... how appropriate. I have just returned from the greenhouse to check on the fan .... and found this ....
My wife says that I love my cacti more than her.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Those Gymnocalycium are beautiful. My andreae was a surprise. A glance an hour ago suggests that I may have other species tomorrow

Re: In flower today
This was one of my first plants I bought 12 months ago - when I just started out. Now she has over 200 siblings! Surprised and please they the flowers have a faint Lilly fragrance
