Wigginsia sessiliflora var. pauciareolata

Post by AnTTun »

I've caused a bit of confusion at some FB group with this plant because I've badly mistyped var. Fingers were faster than mind so I wrote var. paucicostata. But that started quite interesting discussion about that specific variation so I'd really appreciate if those of you that grow that plant post a picture of it. Here is mine, I think its 30 years old and rather messy at the moment...

Thanks in advance :)

I don;t grow it, but I think this page shows clearly the "pauciareolata" nature:

Thanks for info Ralph :)
Seems that plant is so 'common' that it doesn't catch almost any attention :) :( I admit I'd never have it if I didn't get it from a late friend of mine. 'Finger of destiny' or something. I guess.

Lovely photo, and a reminder to me to look at the 2 or 3 I have. Fairly recent acquisitions and only 1 has a still readable label. I don't know an awful lot about them but you have prompted me to do some background reading. Cheers!
