Re: Coronavirus and HW Branch
Following discussions today, we have decided that our branch meetings in April and May will not go ahead, and that our Branch Show on the 16th May is now cancelled.
We will review Government guidance during May and further announcements will be made.

Re: Coronavirus and your branch
Unfortunately Harrow Branch monthly meetings for both April and May have been cancelled because of the COVID-19 epidemic. The viability of following events will be reviewed in the light of future developments. Since we are within London and apparently leading the epidemic, we expect many of our members to follow the government’s advice and want to reduce their socialising.
So please keep washing your hands and use swipe cards instead of coins whenever possible! On a more positive note, our plants will undoubtedly benefit if given extra attention over the coming weeks.
Best regards,
Derek Tribble,
Branch Chairman

Re: Coronavirus and your branch
Seems tough times are ahead for all of us and as BCSS branches have been wisely cancelling or postponing planned activities, your BoT and social media team are looking at what we can do in terms of virtual events, so keep a lookout for further announcements
In the meantime let us not forgot many society members fall into the older age brackets, it would be great if those in the position to could check up on those more vulnerable members, particularly those who live alone and see if there is anything they need or in the event they are socially isolating just ring them for a chat about plants and things, every little helps.

Luton Branch have also cancelled the meetings for April and May, and will see what happens before deciding about future meetings. The news from China and Singapore this morning, that they have had no new cases reoprted, gives us a glimmer of hope.
Keep well everyone.
