The first time I managed to collect seed (many years ago), I got almost 100% germination
that often seems to happen to me, first time easy & then try & repeat it-
no chance.

Extremely nice plants! It's just a pity that choice cacti such as this are now much more difficult or near impossible to obtain. Very frustrating seeing them freely available in the EU. Of course what I should have done was to get them before things changed so kicking myself now

Thanks all,
Ross M - I obtained the grafted one last year from Tony Iron’s Cacti Ebay page. There was a good number he was selling for £12 each. Might be worth getting in touch via his website as he may have some more tucked away somewhere.
The other plant I have is on its own roots and was bought from CactusLoft is Spain in 2019. Unfortunately no longer able to send plants to the UK I believe.

I've only ever had grafted plants, although I've had success with grafting offsets despite not much 'flesh' to graft, I've never managed to keep one for more than a couple of years.
