I did some initial search, but cannot find an answer to whether one leaves the SBPI on or wipe it off after use? I am thinking about some preventive treatment on my succulents as well, which would be close to impossible to wipe afterwards due to tiny or rather delicate foliage.

No, fortunately you don't have to wipe it off.
