Its all aspects of booking a speaker I need help on. So a quick check list
1. Find a speaker (I and we can all help a bit here)
2. Book a speaker.
3. Write a short piece to promote the talks (or ask the speaker to do this for you) and get some pictures
4. Do a test run for the speaker so there are no surprises on the day
5. Arrange to promote the talk on Enews / Web / Facebook by contacting the appropriate people
6. Host the meeting. - We can either use the existing account and I can open it for you to host or I can sit at the front if you want but its nice for other people to take the credit or we will get s specific account for the team to manage.
I believe that as so many branches are holding zoom meetings now that the BCSS meetings should go to monthly - perhaps the last Sunday of the month and that way we may attract more people who may be working during the week.
Having now managed and booked 50+ meetings (It will be the 50th with Wolfgang) I feel that the time is right for someone else to have a go while I address other BCSS matters. I have booked up meetings until the end of April.
I DON'T want the zoom meetings to stop as its a great way to engage with our members and friends who cannot get to meetings. I also hope that branches will open their doors to friends as well so that we can all get our regular BCSS fix.
Good growing.
