Echinopsis something

This came from the remains of the collection in Devon and was originally bought from Ralph Northcott When he was in Exeter. Unloved for many years it’s now come to London and rewards the attention with this display.
No idea what is is as the label is long gone.

A spectacular display Mike, no matter what species it is. Clearly enjoying it's new home👍

That's lovely. It's similar to a plant I have labelled as E. ancistrophora kratochviliana.

So is it possible it’s night flowering? I expected the sunshine to open the flowers a little but instead they closed after lunch.

So first thing this morning they were open so night pollinated it is. Slightly odd scent.

Amazingly it’s produced a second flush of flowers.

Gorgeous! These flowers remind me why I love cacti over other plants.
