...well sometimes it does! My Cheiridopsis peculiaris plants did very well this year, but not this well - have you ever seen such a large flower before?

A very nice Cheiridopsis, the species name suits it quite fine.

Has anyone in northern Europe been able to flower this plant?

HI Rogan,

Beautiful plant and flower, we have that to look forward to in about Feb or Mar here in the UK. The lovely pink flower by its side must be another Cheiridopsis? Which one?

Just noticed Aiko's question - I find it a very reliable flowerer in southern England, individual plants rarely miss out each March. Just in case members don't know, it is very much a winter-growing species and can be left dry through the summer.
