Aeonium
Two plants photographed today
Difficult to believe that these are actually both cuttings from the same plant. No 1 has been in full sun for the whole summer, no 2 has been in a rather shaded greenhouse. Variegated form of Aeonium haworthii, but it needs sun to bring out the variegation.Croydon Branch member, growing mainly cacti and Echeverias

Re: Aeonium
Lovely
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: Aeonium
I just bought it as Aeonium haworthii variegated, but having looked up 'kiwi' I can see what you mean.

Re: Aeonium
Lovely plant Juster. When you say grown in full sun, do you mean it was grown outside during Summer ? Cheers

Re: Aeonium
Yes Eric, it's been outside since about May, where you see it now, on the potting bench against the south facing back wall of the house with a couple of other Aeoniums. The contrast between the two plants really struck me, just shows the difference growing conditions can make.

Re: Aeonium
You are right Juster. I experimented this year with growing a few cacti and succulents outside in the gorgeous Summer. They looked remarkably well too. I let the rain do the watering with a few normal feeds from me.

Re: Aeonium
It is definitely the plant sold as 'Kiwi' though that should officially be named 'Dream Colour'

Re: Aeonium
It is a cultivar of Aeonium haworthii, often named A. 'Kiwi', A. 'Kiwionium' or A. 'Tricolour'.

Re: Aeonium
We've discussed this in a couple of threads and, in the UK at least, the plant sold as 'Tricolor' is definitely distinct from the plant that should be known as 'Dream Colour' but is also called 'Kiwi' etc.
