Offsets which develop their own roots

Post by yonnoy »

Hello,
Do you know small cactuses whose offsets/offshoots develop their individual roots?

I mean small cactuses like Thelocephala malleolata (less than 5 cm in diameter)

Off the top of my head Lobivia hertrichiana and Lobivia maximiliana caespitosa come to mind.

Its not seen in this photo but even small offsets develop roots. I just took one of them and sow it and now it grows very good.

Definitely L. Hertrichiana...going to be interesting to see how this pans out. Two pups from the crown.
