You obviously have a lot more available space than many. Each year I just order a larger shoehorn.

Mainly just some Gymnocalycium spegazzinii from Cactus Moravia. About 30 different localities and seed that I presume was habitat collected. There's a part of me that would just like to have a greenhouse full of one species only and spegazzinii would do nicely.

Turbinicarpus, Lophophora, Ariocarpus, Lobivia and Gymnocalycium

How do you get on Fatich with bringing CITES Appendix I seeds from the EU into Turkey? It is something that we shall probably get imposed on us next year.

I have had no problem with seeds in the customs so far. I think they do not check what is in the envelopes or small parcels.

It's not quite the same, though, as Turkey's in the EU Customs Union. Would that affect EU -> UK seed sales?

I shall be trying some hardy Echinocereus from Succseed, and a variety of Gymnos and Fraileas from Volker Schädlich. I do really like G. spegazzinii, but they are so slow from seed! Still, I shall be sowing a few.

Lots of interesting things on the new ADBLPS list too - I am hoping for Epithelantha ilariae, Mammillaria luethyii, saboae, roemeri, weingartiana, magallani, perezdelarosae. One of the nice surprises on this list were Aloe hoffmannii and Orbea verrucosa.

I liked the Mamm Soc seed list this year, and I am particularly looking forward to sowing Mammillaria hernandezii and schwarzii from this distribution.

I'm assuming it will, hence I've been ordering seeds, including a few CITES 1 species, over the summer and autumn, partly to avoid any customs / phyto etc issues after 31/12/20. Not that the rules re imports are defined yet.
A totally ridiculous situation from this incompetent, shambolic government.

Some selections from recent lists include:

ADBLPS:
YAVIA cryptocarpa
Aloe castilloniae
Dyckia marnier-lapostollei v. estevesii
ORBEA verrucosa

SUCCSEED
Pygmaecereus bylesianus PH 582.04 (Chala, Arequipa, Perú 150m)
Chamaecereus luisramirezii
Neowerdermannia vorwerkii 'gielsdorfianus' JK 213 (Uncia-Huanuni, 3800m, Bol)

kaktusyhk.cz
Geohintonia mexicana
Encephalocarpus / Pelecyphora aselliformis
Encephalocarpus / Pelecyphora strobiliformis
Pediocactus knowltonii (2 field nos)

I'm another Gymno. speg. fan - I restricted myself to 1 type though over all the orders.

I also assumed it will no longer be possible to source seed from the EU unless sellers provide phytosanitary certificates, and that seed or plants of CITES1 species can no longer be imported unless your supplier can issue relevant documentation.

Is this the latest guidance? - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/importing-a ... nuary-2021
