Agaves from this summer
I am a relatively new to Agaves, but fast becoming a little obsessive so as its another grey day I thought I would post a few pictures of this past summer.
My ugly duckling thats turning into a beautiful Swan, Ovatifolia. The gorgeous Agave Parryi 1684 Blue Brian Blue Ocean, more likely a Gentryi hybrid, but I'm not complaining

Ovatifolia, not too fussed about names given, but bought as Vanzie. Just like its form
Now a certain lady on this forum is to blame about my interest in variegated agaves .

So there’s a few of mine that have helped put a smile on my face this summer after this dreadful year.

Oh but you are Paul, based on your article I enlarged my dry bed using the no soil approach, and then of course I had to fill it. 
Chris's plants and planting is awe inspiring.
With Tina, she's influenced my collection mainly indoors, so I can enjoy them year round in our leaky little conservatory. Plus agaves are so much tougher than my beloved Agavoides , now only the tougher survive and stay on.
Next year the bed will get more large rocks introduced, so I it can simply look better . Currently it's a gravel landslide, albeit a pretty one .it will envolve, bigger specimens, less pots. Just having fun with it.

That looks terrific! It would be nice to see more pictures of this in time to see how your planting develops. Agave montana has made it on my wish list straight away, wonderful plant!

Blue Brian looks nice & the montana looks great too but like its going to be BIG n butch, goes without saying the agave isthmensis kabutogani is gorgeous, looks better than when I had it.

Very nice. I agree that Paul and Tina have a lot to answer for
Patrick. Small varied collection of North American, Mexican and Andean Cacti. Variegated Agaves and Echeveria. Developing a succulent garden in Portugal. Joined Somerset BCSS and forum in 2007.
