My Schlumbergera 'Samba Brazil' has followed the trend of people putting decorations up very early to help cheer themselves up during this rubbish year!
This was mine on Thursday in my office,
And a close up,
And the irony is from last Thursday I have been isolating due to contact with someone who was positive for coronavirus so I won't get to see the flowers for the next two weeks!
Anyone else's started yet?

Got a golden orange yellow one (ex Lidl last year) just begun together with cuttings flowering too. A red and white "on the point".

Lovely blooms and super photos, edds. What a shame that you'll be missing them.

All of the cultivars that are largely S. truncata in their genetics are in flower at the moment and I would say that this was their normal flowering period. The traditional Christmas cactus S. x buckleyi follows on later.

Would be grateful if Mod could remove upside down ones! I can’t!

Re: Christmas cactus starting early
Terry is right. I have a couple of species S. truncatas, and they are flowering now, as are many of the S. truncata hybrids. But just to show that plants don't always do what they are supposed to, so are a couple of my Rhipsalidopsis hybrids.

Jane, I love the vibrancy of that bottom one - does it have a name?
