Hello, Can anyone tell me what sort of twisty thing I have on my windowsill? Think it is a euphorbia of sorts but not really sure. Other photo - no idea! Thank you all.

Re: ID help please
You are right about the first one being a Euphorbia, perhaps trigona?
Hopefully someone else will confirm or correct me.

With a bit of imagination second picture could be a beautiful Astrophytum.

I think the branching habit looks more like E. lactea. Hard to tell if it's a little etiolated or not.ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 6:18 pm You are right about the first one being a Euphorbia, perhaps trigona?

Re: ID help please
Could it be E. tortilis? I only say that from a position of ignorance as I have one that does the same spiral thing.
Or, rather, I did until my greenhouse got too cold.

Hello! I've just googled e. tortilis and it's a match! Thank you Paul in Essex. The second plant may be astrophytum myriostigma, (Bishops mitre), according to my plant ID app! It has no spines or much indentation so I'm still not sure. Fun finding out though!
