Not that I am an expert but that would reduce the chance for fruit set, I think.

Apparently Nancy beat the UK to it by a month. I am presuming Nancy the city in France rather than someone called Nancy. Growing on a myrmecophilous Cecropia.

It has been suggested that the Strophocactus could have an agreement with some ants but it has not been observed.

Edited to add: Aurélien seems to be a plant-herd at the Nancy Botanical Gradens and has set up an incredible greenhouse dedicated to plant-animal interactions.
