Ed,

Mine are only starting to show flower buds, most have nothing showing yet though.

I've had Rebutia wessneriana v. beryllioides flowers open here for a while...

This is the one I am excited about. It (Ferocactus latispinus) produced buds before but they never got as far this...

Is that or is that not 'Spring' in one gorgeous flower?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

More like 'I can't wait for the rest of them, I'm going to flower right now!'

It actually surprised me when I moved here to see that the weather is generally better than in Cardiff, despite being 150 miles or so further North. First, this is a fairly narrow peninsula with the sea on both sides meaning the temperatures are not as low as they might be. Second, it might just be an impression, but we seem to get more sunny days here than Cardiff (and much more so than Snowdonia). Third, my greenhouse here enjoys a fairly open southern aspect with good light, and there's no industrial pollution. So all those together mean the plants do pretty well altogether. I've had an excellent display of winter growing bulbs, too.

First flower opened today, closed again by 3pm but hopefully I'll see it or one of its friends tomorrow.
