Some early flowers

Post by Diane »

Lots of buds starting to develop now, especially after a few days of very warm weather.

This is Pediocactus paradeinii (grafted) always an early bird:

A dark spined Gymnocactus aguirreanus with nice cream flowers:

Plenty of Turbinicarpus in bud, I particularly like this Turbinicarpus pulcherrimus:

Mammillarias are also getting into their stride, here’s Mammillaria perezdelarosea v. andersoniana a very diminutive species (for me):

Finally, Mammillaria egregia, another small grower with white spines and brownish flowers:

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Lovely plants and flowers Diane, I've noticed a lot of buds, helped by the sunshine.
