Since writing that last post I’ve thought of two though didn’t know either one recycled old collections. I know it’s GOC, I spent my first 20 years there.

Your thoughts have encouraged me to research on the possibles.
I would agree that it would look more like Gymnocactus beguinii than anything else.

Are you sure that isn't a Turbinicarpus beguinii?
You might just have to amend your growing conditions if it is a different genus 🤣

Like the valdezianus discussed a few days ago, there are many names you could use.

An interesting thought ..... but if it has survived since late 2018 / early 2019 in the same place in the GH?
