First flower open today. A bit of a scrawny looking affair but colour-wise not dissimilar to Ralph's. As soon as it's finished flowering it's getting the chop 😈

love that flower
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Definitely the right plant, just looks a bit different from being on a graft, and perhaps through living in Scotland rather than Wales. :grin:

Cracking flower Ross. Mine has flowered this year but I missed it while I was at school! Hopefully it may flower again later this year.

More flowers open today. They're definitely more 'Curly Wurly' than those on your plant Ralph! I can't quite make my mind up whether I like them or not

Maybe a lack of water, or too much sun, or maybe just the flowers are going over and you missed them when they first opened?

I don't think that's the reason Ralph as they're pretty much like that when they first open. I tend to give the couple of grafted plants I have more water than the rest of the collection and as for sun, what's that??? 🤔

Well it got the chop a few days ago so should get a bunch of off-sets for propagating next spring plus some seed by the looks of the pods
