I've had a few of mine do this this year. At first it was new, small plants I'd recently acquired but now my Lincoln Sundae has done the same when it had large, perfect flowers last year. I've noticed some are sticking the stigma out of the flower bud before opening with these ragged petals so maybe something strange is happening with the weather this year?

Your weird looking one reminds me a bit of Lobivia 'Stern von Lorsch'. Let's hope it survives and you can propagate it.

It's got to that stage where there is so many things in flower that it's hard to pick individual plants to photograph but I've picked two.
This is the same Lobivia pentlandii from a fortnight ago but with a better view of the atypical flowers. It helps that it's right at the front of the staging!

This Aylostera sp. 'Heger & Alber' - a supthutiana?? - is quite unlike any of my other plants. The flowers are a deep red and the spines white and bristly.

L.pentlandii has nice flowers, quite spiny as well! The spines don’t seem to curve, as do some of the individuals that I have do.

Interested in most genera of small to medium ‘globular’ cacti, large flowering Mammillaria, Epiphyllum, Trichocereus, Hildewintera, Cleistocactus etc, small Agaves, Lithops, Titanopsis, Faucaria etc, plus hybridising.

Certainly the time of year when the GH begins to see more colour. But much later than last year.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I've got another sp. nov. plant rather like the Heger & Alber one, presumably collected from nearby...

It claims to have come from Incahuasi.
