These look like small seedlings flowering early, but are actually mature plants of Escobaria missouriensis ssp navajoensis. The name is a bit dubious but it is a population that keeps this youthful appearance and small size. They are supposed to clump with age but I haven't seen this.

How old are they on the photograph? I might add them to the wishlist of "forever small" cacti!

These plants are 10 years old. I think you can rely on them staying small for a long time.

On the list then! I hope the pot on the photo has at least 7-9 cm, and not 5 cm?

Only a 7cm pot, so pretty small plants. They haven't had a pampered life, but even pampered ones aren't going to outgrow their welcome.

Here are my two pots of the same name, these under the collection number ZJ651b. They were bought a few years ago from a Czech online seller. This form appears a little larger, but still happy in a small pot.
