This plant is being sold as a 30 years old specimen of Neoporteria sociabilis.
Price is good, I am tempted.
I cannot find very much on this species so I wonder whether it is correctly named. What do you think?

It doesn't look how I'd expect N. sociabilis to look. Or when I'd expect it to start flowering. I'd call that Eriosyce subgibbosa, although that covers a multitude of sins.

N. sociabilis looks nothing like that, the plant in the picture looks like it is from the taltalensis / paucicostatus group.But as Iann says it could be subgibbosa. ( Eriosyce/Neoporteria is a minefield)
