The Matelea cyclophylla has just sprouted thankfully, I was getting worried about it.

Yours was labelled monvillei...
I have a G. sutterianum ( G. capillaense var. sutterianum ) that size, single head which draws down into the gravel in winter and only shows its full size after it has been watered twice .
