E. scheerii perhaps? Or E. polyacanthus? Something of that general type, anyway.

Echinocereus scheeri v gentryi

I thought a change from a still image might be a pleasant change
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I was surprised to have a great display from 2 year old Echinocereus knippelianus last month, including some 2cm tiddlers. Great synchronicity:
(Echinocereus knippelianus, North of La Ascension, NL, Mex, sown March 2019)

Hello el48tel
At first when I opened the small time lapse vid, it didn't work, just noticed it in my downloads.
Great short, The rotation in the flower is interesting.
Have you shot this with your phone,?

It was taken with a standard compact system camera and macro lens. By taking individual pictures over 5 hours I achieved X500 time lapse. My cellphone can only achieve X64.
Yes ... OK .... there was a fair amount of work sticking the frames together into an HD video, whereas the cellphone would automatically do this. The main advantage was that each individual frame of video was adjusted for exposure, which the cellphone could not achieve, unless I took the video apart, and this does result in a set of degraded images, which would have to be reassembled as video again.
Having mastered the process, and worked out a set of settings for the camera and the component processing software packages, after a few days of experimentation I can work the images quite rapidly into video. It just needed a little time and patience. Having said that ..... yesterday's video was a TOTAL disaster.

Good afternoon Terry
I think they should have got you in, to video the moon flower opening.
I hope you don't mean the echinocereus video was a disaster. It was very good.
It can be difficult loading a big file size onto the forum.
Look forward to seeing more, though hearing the process I understand their might not be many.
Thank you
