I had a bit from Mike and it didn't do well outdoors (but didn't die) - Mike has greener fingers than me. I then kept it in my hot room, and it has already finished flowering and is growing well - just a few stems, but very long. It always surprises me just what a range of conditions plants can tolerate.

Ralph, i think it needs breaking in gently plus a bit of benign neglect.
Once upon a time it was in my greenhouse but had grown very large, badly needed repotting and was in the way. I took it outside and dumped it on one of my compost bins and forgot all about it. The following spring when I needed the compost bin I found it again and still alive. So I hung it outside and left it and it has stayed outside ever since although in a sheltered spot outside the back of the house. Sunny in the morning, shade in the afternoon. Very occasionally I water and feed but it really needs a new hanging basket.

Thanks Mike. When it gets too big for my greenhouse, I'll try putting it out one summer (keeping a bit in reserve inside).
