variegated seedlings?

Post by RJC »

A tray of last years Frailea seedlings. Curiously all the F auriespina look like they are chlorotic. If they had been on their own I would have suspected some sort of nutrient deficiency, but the others in the tray look healthy enough. Aside from this packet of seed, and only this packet, being zapped by an x-ray or something on their way from Germany last year has anyone got any other thoughts? They were like this last year, and I was expecting them to green up this year, but not so far.

They do look very yellow but seem to growing well so there must be more chlorophyll than you think, it will be interesting to see them as they grow.
