The gold spined one is Patriciae which Brian Bates named for his wife, quite soft and strokable, what a nice gesture.

Mine just finished flowering. Large flowers with vibrant colors, definitely one of my favorites.

The yellow-spined ones always look like they need a good wash.

The spines are quite soft. Just slightly bristly, definitely not going to hurt you. Flowers are starting to open today.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
