Mellow yellows

Post by Diane »

Just a few cacti with yellow flowers open today.

First up is Echinopsis aurea KP313 from Cordoba, quite a stunning flower:

Lobivia albolanata, three plants from a sowing made 10 years ago, showing very variable spination. This is a dwarf species with a thick taproot.

A grafted plant of Thelocephala challensis:

A few Mammillarias too - Mammillaria baumii (I think a snail had a chew of the buds):

Thanks for sharing Diane
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

A lovely group of photos Diane. Someone gave me a M. longimamma offset last year, so I look forward to the flowers sometime.
