More Gymnocalycium

I like the robust spines on some Gymnos, especially the various forms of spegazzinii/cardenasianum/castelanosii. It seems you can have a whole collection of spegazzinii and not have two similar plants.

This is G. bozsingianum, now 9 years old. It's definitely not in a hurry, but I may have kept it back for a few years in less than ideal conditions.

Chunky spines on this spegazzinii v. unguispinum, ex Bercht a few years ago. I have a number of seedlings, and they are really taking off since I gave them a bit more space (and acidified my potting mix).
