Rhytidocaulon macrolobum
A proud moment, as it took me a couple of year to get a single plant of the species, and another year of cultivation in my conditions, but I was rewarded today with its first flower (and more to come) - R. macrolobum, Tom McCoy Yem 92:

Very well done!
Re: Rhytidocaulon macrolobum
Lovely emerald flower. I love the old twig look.
Mine was a totally different colour. From IAS seed in 2013. Died a few years ago when I moved house. The new growth was juicy, tender and tasted pleasant.

I prefer the green one. And Maciej - if you are ever tempted to eat it - don't, send me a cutting instead!
But I've just remembered I owe you a favour already...

No eating here! The plant does not want to branch much for me, so it does not look like there will be any cuttings taken anytime soon.ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 6:49 pm I prefer the green one. And Maciej - if you are ever tempted to eat it - don't, send me a cutting instead!

I’ve also grown them from seed, flowered them, lost them.
Seed doesn’t turn up very often.
