Cacti on TV - Rankin's Photography programme

Post by Chris L »

Prick, the London cactus shop, is featured in episode 3 (albeit, fairly briefly).

If you've not seen the programme it is well worth a watch. It is "a competition" in the sense there will be a winner, but none of the contestants are eliminated as would be the norm.

Been really enjoying this series Chris. The cactus assignment was not the team's greatest success though. One had a poor concept well executed. The other had a great concept but poorly executed - I had expected, from his pitch, pretty much what the client had envisaged but did not get.

Having an amateur interest in photography myself I've been following the series too, and it has been a worthwhile watch. My ears pricked up (pardon the pun!) when I heard they would be visiting that cacti shop, but I thought what got produced rather disappointing... Wouldn't you have thought the two contestants, as part of their homework/ research, might have had a look at the heavily illustrated book that the lady proprietress of the shop had published?...
