Another one to add - Huernia hybrid ‘Olga #3’ - quite an easy and robust grower (says she with fingers crossed!)

(tu) Rather lovely with its stripey and slightly bristly lifebelt.

I'm beginning to think I need to start growing more stapeliads lookin at these flowers
I can't say I see many for sale or is it because I'm not looking on the right websites?

They are hard to obtain in the UK, Chris. Many of mine have come from Europe in the days before B****t, sadly no longer an option now.

Are they on the CITES lists? If not, it's "just" the matter of paying more for the phyto certificate.

Seed can still be bought from Europe until December, several good sources and you will probably end up with a happier plant.

I don't know if they all know they can still sell to the UK until December.

I would have thought you already knew Köhres https://www.kaktus-koehres.de

The advantage of ebay is that you can sort by newly listed and see how fresh they are: https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/botanical-archive Tediously huge selection of various types of plant and seeds. Some seeds from plants from Specks. Several stapeliads from July, I see. Best to sort by newly listed then search for korn. Very good germination from the few that I bought.

Uhlig have had various genera but don't seem to have any at the moment. Possibly keep an eye on them to see when they come in. I have not had seeds from them but the two plants I got were lovely. https://www.uhlig-kakteen.de/en/seeds/succulent-seeds

There were only 5 species on the list from https://adblps-graines-cactus.com for this year. Worth checking in November if you like to gamble against the deadline. I have never had anything from them as they didn't have the ones I wanted.

If you don't want to gamble against deadlines or wait for post from distant lands, then try worldwondersgardens on ebay, in Godalming in Surrey. They resell so can only guarantee the ID from the grower. They may not have great germination percentages. However, 2 Edithcolea grandis are quite enough for me from 5 seeds for £3.50. I don't have space for more. I don't really have space for them but couldn't resist having a go. Again, sort by newly listed. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/worldwondersgardens

Let's not mention the IAS. The FGaS, unfortunately, produces their seedlist at the start of each year.

Surely some of our European members know of some others?
