The label

Echinopsis cinnabarina (Lobivia cinnabarina) LM695.02 (Z)
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

The 'Z' is something that Graham Charles helpfully adds to his printed labels to indicate that the plant was grown from habitat collected seed

Unfortunately, I don't have details of where this item comes from. Martin Lowry's confirmation of Graham Charles's system.

Thanks Mike
I have Graham's book Cacti and Succulents: An Illustrated Guide to the Plants and Their Cultivation. (Autographed of course).
He gives a similar discourse as the one in your attachment.
I have several plants from him .... all marked up similarly, and a few from other sources ... again with similar coding (perhaps their provenance could be traced back to Graham).
I think the system has it's merit, but in these days of habitat stripping, one might feel uneasy about (H) labels, regardless of how long the clone has been in existence, or how many generations have passed since the original seeds were gathered, or how well the habitat is being managed.

Thanks, Phil. I've made a note of the provenance of the provenance code.
