Mammillaria sphaerica

Post by Astro »

Lovely flowers on these plants. The flowers are not as fragrant as on other Dolichotheles (baumii!), but they make up for that in size. In my conditions the plants grow pretty much level with the soil. I don't think I'm that stingy with water though (bottom watering every week). Not the fastest growing plants either, but I rather like that.

Plant in 2.5" pot, the flowers are about 5 cm across when fully open.

Beautiful
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
