Echinocereus triglochidiatus White Sands
Echinocereus triglochidiatus White Sands. I'm very happy with this little seedling from a uk grower. I'd read about this fantastic form, from White Sands National Monument . It can grow into a bit of a giant.

Maybe give it a gypsum top dressing to make it feel at home. White Sands is a great place to visit when the wind isn't blowing though the Triglochidiatus there don't look any different to those growing elsewhere. They make nice clusters in time and the flowers last longer than most cacti.

Good luck with it. My E. triglochidiatus (not White Sands) took about 20 years from seed to its first flowering - but now it puts on a cracking display of flowers every year.

Hi Chris , there's a page on cactusguide online.

That has information on the white sands variation.
Hi Ralph , I've some nice sized triglochidiatus to enjoy, it seems to be a variable plant having a wide distribution and lots of interesting forms, and lovely flowers.
It is going to be quite a wait for this little one.
