Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Lovely.

I believe the 10K would be referring to the number of seeds in the seedpacket, "10 Korn".

I second that, must be one of the German distributors. Am also not sure about the "v" (variety?) in the name.

Had not thought about that. How about "von" meaning "from"?

Also probably found in a valley/ravine/water-induced-dip-in-the-landscape-of-some-sort called Cañada Calabacillal. Presumably, a place where little gourds are also found.

Edited to add "little" - calabaza is a gourd, calabacilla is a little gourd and calabacillal would be a little gourd field.
