I have this as C. longum and looking now the only real difference is the colour of the petals.
Thankyou all for your input.

We like natural variation
The second two photos are labelled as C. longitubum which I believe is C. longum but from a geographically separate location. Originally a Rowley named plant?

Re: Conophytum ID please
Acc to the list at the back of Hammer's first book, longitubum is a synonym of truncatum ssp.viridcatum Fred, so nothing to do with your plant.

Re: Conophytum ID please
I've noted this list of synonyms for C. longum.
Besides that, is every one convinced that Ophthalmophyllum belong in Conophytum?
Knowing the rate of change of name on labels in this hobby, I'm sure that some O. longitubum will have just had the O changed to C and some with longum longitubumConophytum discretum G.D.Rowley
Conophytum rawei G.D.Rowley
Conophytum restitutum G.D.Rowley
Ophthalmophyllum fulleri Lavis
Ophthalmophyllum herrei Lavis
Ophthalmophyllum longitubum L.Bolus
Ophthalmophyllum longum (N.E.Br.) Tischer
Ophthalmophyllum schlechteri Schwantes ex H.Jacobsen
Besides that, is every one convinced that Ophthalmophyllum belong in Conophytum?

Re: Conophytum ID please
I never have been Fred, very different IMO. But the boffins say they are, with seed comparison an other stuff. It's very confusing for growers though.

Re: Conophytum ID please
I have a separate tray for Ophthalmophyllums, as they seem to behave a little differently from the other Conophytums. Plus they look a little different to most Conophytums. My favourite:
