Dinteranthus seedling advice

Post by curtuk »

Hi All.
I've got seedlings of Dinteranthus, mainly vanzylii, but also a few inexpecatus that were all sown early in June (so just 3 1/2 months old). They have been on a sunny windowsill so far and are up to about 4mm across, but no true leaves yet.
I have successfully grown Lithops but have no experience of Dinteranthus. Do they overwinter in the same way as Lithops, with no water?
Also, I want to move them into an unheated greenhouse for winter - will they cope with this as seedlings? I understand that adults will.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,

In all respects I treat Dinteranthus exactly the same as Lithops from seed.

Good growing

Tony.
